Gas prices rose even again today. The stock market fell some 200 points which is the lowest in some two years. The economic situation is looking pretty bad which means it may be a while before things begin to look up. But, what are you going to do? I heard a guy by the name of “McMeachin” on Jones Radio this morning. He told the story of a father who told the son about how bleak it was looking so the dad followed through on his thoughts. He took down his advertising signs and stopped selling his product. Almost immediately things “were” really bad.
So, folks… things are looking bad but don’t just hang in all up. Don’t just quit. Look for the silver lining in the situation. Of course, don’t go “shoot your wad” but be wise. Work on staying out of debt, and all the while saving money here and there. Share your car with somebody, “drop off” by the store on your way somewhere instead of taking a deliberate trip to the grocery store. Buy one Hagen Daz ice cream instead of two.
Don’t give up. And hey, this is a good time to get some “deals” on things you’ve needed.
