Well, I hear that eBay is at it again and this time with one who has offered his site for “FREE” to the “folks”. So who are the “folks”? Well, the folks are those who don’t make a whole ton of money like those on staff at eBay. According to Forbes.com, Meg Whitman, a former eBay exec was making millions and millions. Of course, we know those on the front end of eBay make six figures and the owners, well they are on the top of the Forbes list. (Of course, no one begrudges anyone with a good idea what they’ve earned as long as they don’t step on the little people along the way. We live in a democracy and free trade place. That is, of course, a good thing so I want to be clear .)
Craig Newmark began what most people know as the “free” place to offer things, information, ideas and their “stuff”- “Craigslist”. Well, he offers it FREE to the “folks”- the average folk and those who don’t make a ton of money.
Well, it appears that eBay or as some people deem the company, “GreedBay” somehow bought some shares in the Craigslist site and sort of began to muscle their way in. Here is part of the story. And, if you’re wondering who’s side I’m pulling for… wonder no more…
