Well, it really makes one wonder what real protection was there for the most powerful man in the world, George W. Bush this past week in Baghdad.
This week, the President, took a flight to Baghdad to commend the troops. While there he joined in a press conference with Maliki, their leader. As he was talking, a 28 year-old journalist jumped up and threw a size 10 shoe, a form of a missile, at the president, missing his head by just a hair. And then, he threw even another before secret service reacted according to a CNN broadcast tape.
So, how protected is the President? Hummmmm…

When I saw the tape, that was my first reaction… “Where is the secret service?” ” Why didn’t they react? And, when they did react, only one went up there to protect the president and he only stood beside him….Hummmm?
Minutes later, it looks as if the secret service have finally caught on that our world leader was in danger as they stand around him.
Hopefully this will be a wake-up call for the secret service.
I saw a program later in the night where someone from the secret service put out a press release saying they reacted appropriately. Are you kidding. The tape is there for all to see.
