Yesterday on Fox News, reports were that the newspaper industry is having it hard. “The folks”, like me are getting our news in various ways that do not include buying newspapers. For over a year now, I have picked up my newspaper out of my yard and have taken it to work with full intentions of reading it. I just can’t get to the reading of it. So, where do I get my news? Well, for one thing, I watch the news on television. If I don’t get enough there, I check out some of the following places:
Fox News-”Fair and Balanced”. I like Fox best although I do watch CNN as well. CNN has a lot of historically valuable segments and though I do think CNN runs left of the center, I watch it with my eyes open and my mind alert.
Wikipedia- While this is not a news agency, it still provides up-to-date information about almost any topic. I use Wikipedia a lot.
Wikinews Generally “wiki” means that you can have your own say. So it is with this site. You can help write the news.
The Newseum of which I visited the day the Pope came to America last month.
Guerilla News- Even when a group says they are “independent”, I keep both eyes open and read between the lines but this site is an independent site for unbiased news and info.
PRNewswire- This is a news agency that offers press releases. I use this from time to time.
