The Apostle Paul and His Journeys

The Holy Scripture tells of St. Paul being shipwrecked on Malta. According to theologians, his ship drifted for at least two weeks. It was the physician, Luke who recorded the journeys of Paul. He told about his travels to what is now called “Greece”.

I had the opportunity to go to greece to retrace and retravel his path and it was quite a trip.

My favorite part of the trip was the visit to several of the shorelines that Paul most likely traveled including Ephesus, the ancient Library. It was a fabulous place with
one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Greece today has many, many churches; one of which I photographed hanging over the banister to get a good photograph.
According to reports, in the early part of the 20th century, a road was uncovered which said: “Erastus, Procurator and Aedile, laid this pavement at his own expense.”
There was an Erastus that traveled with Paul. ‘Was this the same man?

On our trip, we also went to Lystra- There we saw a creek where Paul probably saw people baptized. It was quite an experience.

See this site for more information about the travels of Paul…
